I had the privilege of working with Andrea Cowen for four years while working with Girl Guides of Canada. I was the Manager of Marketing and Communications and Andrea, as Print and Graphic Design Specialist was one of my direct reports.
Andrea is a creative, passionate and extremely talented graphic designer, photographer and illustrator who consistently demonstrated considerable expertise and passion in the creation of a wide range of dynamic and impactful collateral, including imagery, publications, promotional and digital materials for Girl Guides of Canada.

I had the pleasure of working with Andrea when she worked as the graphic designer on the Hallmark movie "Love on Ice". Her design sense was always accurate to the needs of the script and her work added greatly to the design of the movie. Working with Andrea for over six years has been a breeze. From her quote requests, which include all the required details, to price negotiations, to keeping me abreast of the artwork's progress, to file submission — she gets it! Plus she gets the tech stuff like resolution, printer's marks, file type pros and cons and file submission via ftp clients. Design-wise, Andrea's collaborative. If a press limitation interferes with her design idea, Andrea is open to discussion and she's quick to spot a solution.
Andrea and I have worked together to cover the cinder-block walls of a large meeting room with printed vinyl, stenciled vinyl cut-outs of text onto lobby walls, made banners and dry-mounted pieces for display at the AGO, and printed backdrops of the Hawaiian islands for photo shoots. She keeps her cool under pressure and even through a fire alarm — literally! She's a talented designer plus she's a really pleasant person. You'll enjoy working with Andrea.
